The South Suburban Chamber of Commerce recently honored the Bucyrus Club & Event Center and Skyline Catering with its Small Business of the Year award at its annual awards event at the club.
According to the chamber, the Small Business of the Year award “is given to businesses who have contributed to the prosperity of the South Suburban business community and demonstrated acts of goodwill.” Accomplishments can include longevity in business, response to adversity, growth, community contributions, and participation in civic and business organizations.
In her remarks, chamber Executive Director Kristin Jastroch called the Bucyrus Club a “longstanding member and supporter of the chamber,” noting the club hosts annual chamber breakfasts and has hosted the last two annual banquets. “They’ve gone above and beyond to make sure every detail has been perfect here tonight. So thank you to Ernie & Elyse and all your amazing staff for welcoming us and being such a support.”
Said Skyline Catering Founder and Co-Owner Ernie Wunsch: “We are proud members of the chamber and honored to receive this award. We love hosting South Suburban Chamber events; it’s such a fun and energetic group, and their passion for supporting local business is clear. Being engaged in our community through organizations like this is really important to us.”
